Maybe.
I just hate knee jerks, positive or negative. I had to deal with months of it after the World Cup and that is what this thread is.
I hope Sahko continues, he has shown some incredible instincts and desire, but some of the judgements being made after a few games are pretty stupid.

The only issue with Carroll is his injury problems but when fit I think he is a real handful.
I would like to see him playing up there with Downing in his new role together with Valencia. The space Carroll could create for these 2 byt drawing defenders to him as he does could be very exciting to see. Problem is you can't replace Sakho on current form.

To be fair, you have seen Sakho play less than ten games, he is 24 and has spent years in the French lower leagues, so you have exactly zero idea how many air shots he has had.

Similar early career trajectories.
Ripped up a lower league and then started very well in the Premiership.
Though to be fair, Carroll's lower league was better.

Creating chances was our problem last year i reckon Carroll would be near on 5 goals by now if fit. Him and Sakho up top together will be lethal.

Carrol is a very good player when fit, I'd say as effective as Sakho.
It's just he never stays fit and you just wonder whether he ever wil.
